Professional Statement:

I am the head Psychiatrist of the Stress Relief Center and New York Psychiatric Services, P.C., a private clinic serving the needs of patients in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. Our staff consists of 5 clinical psychiatrists, M.D., (three of us are Board Certified in general psychiatry, in child and adolescent psychiatry), 3 clinical psychologists (Ph.D., Psy.D.) and 10 psychotherapists with LCSW-R, CSW, and MSW level of training.

My treatment philosophy combines traditional and alternative medicine including different modes of psychotherapy, biofeedback, music therapy and medication management. For example, I developed a program in conjunction with Neuroscience Lab, Inc. that focuses on the diagnosis and correction of brain chemical imbalance with natural remedies or medications. Our focus is in helping people cope with the stresses of life and psychological issues in traditional and innovative ways, utilizing the best of breed methodologies to provide the maximum benefit.

My specialties and areas of expertise are ADHD, Anxiety Disorders (panic disorder, PTSD, social phobia, generalized anxiety disorder), depression, insomnia, PMS/PMDD/menopausal mood isorder, family/relationship problems, stress management, smoking cessation.
